Bio:
AAndrew Tricker grew up in San Marino, CA, a suburb of Los Angeles. He moved to Atlanta, GA, to pursue a B.S. in Chemical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he later earned his Ph.D. under the advisement of Prof. Carsten Sievers. His doctoral research focused on the use of mechanochemistry for sustainable chemical production. Following his Ph.D., Dr. Tricker joined the Energy Conversion Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher, where he researched electrochemical devices and anion-exchange membrane water electrolyzers. He then served as a AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow at the National Science Foundation in the Division of Chemical, Bioengineering, Environmental, and Transport Systems (CBET) supporting efforts related to industrial decarbonization and sustainable chemistry.
In Fall 2025, Dr. Tricker joined the Department of Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering as an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
